Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is there a minimum order?

A. A minimum purchase of $15 is required on all orders (excluding shipping & handling charges).

Q. Can I purchase items if I live outside of the U.S.A?

A. If you are a Canadian or foreign customer, my site cannot automatically calculate postage for your location. Please send your order to me first and I will figure the postage cost, which can then be easily added using the "Special Order Items" button. Sorry, I cannot accept foreign currency or checks drawn on foreign banks.

Q. I would like to purchase an item. How do I place an order?

A. Click on the "Add to Cart" button (or on the price if there is no button) on the item you want. This will open a new browser window showing the contents of your shopping cart. Click on the "Continue Shopping" link in the upper right area of the new window to return to Old Radio Parts - do not close or minimize the shopping cart window.

Review your order at any time by clicking on "View Cart" in the top menu bar or on the "View Cart" text link at the bottom of the page. Whenever the shopping cart window is open you have the option to remove items or change quantities, then "update" your cart. If you wish, you may stop here and complete your order by mail. When you are finished shopping and are ready to complete your transaction, select the appropriate "Check Out" button in the open cart window (click on "View Cart" first if you don't already have an "Add To Cart" window open) and proceed with your purchase via PayPal. If you are having trouble with the shopping cart, make sure that "cookies" and "JavaScript" are enabled in your browser; instructions for doing this should be available via your browser's "Help" link. If you can't complete your order, please contact me.

Q. I recently inquired about a "special order" item. How do I add this to my shopping cart?

Q. Do I have to sign up for PayPal to purchase an item online?

A. No. If you prefer to buy without a PayPal account, you can do so by clicking on your cart's "Check Out - Pay without a PayPal account" button. Customers also have the option to pay via phone or by mail.

Q. How safe is it to purchase items through PayPal?

A. PayPal payments are processed on a secure server using the highest level data encryption commercially available. This scrambles your confidential information as it travels over the internet, making it virtually impossible for anyone to intercept it.

Q. How long will it take to receive my order?

A. After payment is received, your order will be shipped via USPS mail, UPS, or Fedex (depending on item type and weight) as quickly as possible. Please allow at least 6-8 business days for delivery after payment is received. If you are paying by check, please allow an additional 5-7 business days for your check to clear.

Q. What is your return policy?

A. Due to the nature of vintage items, returns must be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. If you purchased a brand new item and it proves to be defective within 7 days of receipt, you will receive a replacement or refund (less shipping costs) at my discretion after the item has been returned. I must be contacted and approval given before any purchased item is returned for any reason. I am not responsible for lost, stolen, misdirected, or carrier-damaged shipments.
