Zenith Radio Dial Lamps & Shades
 
Zenith radio dials (the big black plastic ones) have bulbs behind them for illumination. Use only #47 bulbs here - NOT #44! The #44 bulbs get too hot (the brighter #44 bulbs are correct for metal Zenith "Shutter"/"Robot" dials).

Also, for Zenith plastic dials; YOU MUST HAVE THE DIAL SHADES IN PLACE WITH NO HOLES IN THEM! The dial shades were meant to keep the heat off the dial and to help even out the illumination.
